Using Sayvo
How do I translate a voice message?
- Open the voice message in your messenger.
- Tap Share and choose Sayvo.
- Open Sayvo to read the transcription and the translation.
Can I translate text messages too?
Yes. Share a text message to Sayvo the same way, and it is translated as soon as it arrives. You can also type or paste text on the Translator tab.
Sayvo is not in the share sheet
Scroll the row of apps in the share sheet to the end, tap More, and switch Sayvo on. You can drag it higher in the list so it is easier to find next time.
If it still does not appear, open Sayvo once, then try again.
Which audio formats work?
Voice messages from WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal and other messengers, and audio files in m4a, mp3, ogg, opus, wav, aac, flac and webm.
Which languages are supported?
Sayvo translates between more than 50 languages and detects the language of the message by itself. The app's own interface is available in 14 languages.
The translation came out in the wrong language
Check the target language at the top of the home screen. Changing it translates the same message again into the new language.
If the language is right and the translation is not, write to us with the message's language and the one you chose.
Free plan and Premium
What does the free plan include?
Every feature, with limits: a daily number of voice and text translations, voice messages up to one minute long (your first three can be any length), a maximum length per text, and a total number of actions (saving, replying, sharing and dictation). Settings shows how much you have left.
What does Premium add?
Premium removes the limits of the free plan, including the length of voice messages. A daily fair-use limit keeps the service fast for everyone; if you reach it, translations are available again within 24 hours. Premium is available as a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase, paid through your Apple ID.
Is the lifetime purchase a subscription?
No. It is paid once and never renews, so there is nothing to cancel. On a new iPhone, or after reinstalling Sayvo, tap Restore Purchases in Settings with the same Apple ID to get it back.
I paid, but Sayvo still shows the free plan
Go to Settings, tap Get Premium, then Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you paid with.
If that does not help, write to us and include the date of the purchase.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Sayvo and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid being charged for the next one.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Privacy
Are my messages stored?
No. Audio and text pass through our server to be translated and are not kept. Your translation history stays on your iPhone. The privacy policy lists everything the server does keep.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting the app removes your history and preferences from the iPhone. To have the records tied to your installation removed from our server, write to us from that iPhone.
